M-Spin is an Imperial College, London start-up which produces ultra-high surface area nanofibrous sheets for use as electrodes in AWE, AEM and PEM electrolysers. M-Spin materials have been demonstrated to deliver significant increases in current density and lowering of overpotentials. Modelling indicates these advantages can lower the cost of green hydrogen production by 20-30%.
