TerraBarrier introduces a breakthrough surface modification technology that makes high-performance alloys more reliable in hydrogen and amonia applications. Our process forms an inward-growing layer that is integral with the substrate, creating a homogeneous 1–5 µm barrier without secondary oxides.

This new approach is not a conventional heat treatment or a PVD/CVD coating. Instead, it is a material transformation that delivers up to thousand times better resistance against hydrogen/ammonia embrittlement and hydrogen permeation.
