Claas Helmke is a mechanical engineer with a background in Renewable Energies. He earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Newcastle University, UK. Claas has 25 years’ experience in the Renewable Energy Industry, ranging from research management with the European Commission to developing and implementing strategies for large (ThyssenKrupp, Masdar) as well as small international companies. In 2024, Claas was presented with the ‘Global Solar Leaders Award’ by the Global Green Energy Industry Council and the Global Solar Council.
